Acupuncture side effects

 

Acupuncture side effects are rare, however, if present may include : Dizziness, muscle aching,
sleepiness, nausea, euphoria and in rare cases the original symptoms may fleer up later on the day.
Those symptoms will only last for very short time.

Acupuncture does not make symptoms worse.

Before treatment

You should eat before treatment within a couple hours, however, avoid heavy meals.

Wear comfortable and loose clothing.

Don't exercise two hours before the treatment

Don't drink alcohol.

Don't brush your tongue prior to your visit.

After the treatment

 

Don't exercise within two hours after the treatment.

don't take shower, bathe or swimming after the treatment within a couple hours.

Don't eat large meals

Drink lots of water.

Take a nap after the treatment.

Don't engage in sexual activity.

Don't drink alcohol.

Don't forget that acupuncture is approved by BUPA, VHI, VIVAS, HIBERNIAN, QUINN - HEALTHCARE, HSF,

and many other healthcare insurance schemes, and you could claim a refund of some of the acupuncture

treatments costs.

You should contact your healthcare insurance to verify acupuncture coverage.
