Sexual positions and fertility
The best positions to get pregnant
In order to get pregnant, the man's sperm must be
deposited as close as possible to the woman's cervix.
Usually when a fertile man and a fertile woman trying to conceive, sexual
positions do not make much difference. However, if couples are having
trouble conceiving certain sexual positions can help.
The best positions for the design aimed to expose the woman's cervix to as
much sperm as possible.
The experts therefore recommend avoiding having sex in positions that
defy gravity (as they reduce the likelihood of the man's sperm reaching the
cervix). You should avoid having sex:
- sitting
- standing
- with the woman sitting on top
Essentially it's important to try to reduce the amount of
semen that comes out, put the woman's hip so that the sperm stays inside,
ensuring enough time for them to follow the path up to the neck. Some of the
more favourable positions include:
- It is believed that the position "of the
missionary (man on top) is good for the design, as it allows a deeper
penetration and so places sperm closer to the cervix.
- To expose the woman's cervix to the maximum amount
of semen, the woman can also try to raise the hip by placing a pillow.
- Rear Entrance (man entering the woman behind) may
also facilitate the deposition of sperm closer to the cervix and thus
help in the design. This position is particularly good for women who
have tilted uterus.
