Testicular Cancer and Infertility

Testicular cancer is also associated with an increased risk of impaired spermatogenesis. It occurs most often in young or middle-age and is very rare before puberty or in old age. The risk of testicular cancer is higher in men with a history of undescended testicles. Radiotherapy and / or anti-cancer usually does not cause infertility in the testes remaining if they are healthy.

Even at an early stage can usually be felt as a small lump in the testicles and is detected at this stage can usually be treated surgically. Unfortunately, the primary tumour metastasizes early and can be rapidly fatal. This is why the recent campaigns of health education have emphasized the importance of regular self-examination of the testes, especially in young males.
